thirty-five weeks, and in quite a predicament
Well, a predicament for me, anyway.
I found out at the alternative childbirth tour that they don't have their own birthing tubs available in the rooms. If you choose to have a water birth, you have to hire an outside company to bring the tub in for you on the day you give birth. And this costs roughly $300.
Now, I was planning on spending a little less than that to encapsulate my placenta, but now I'm thinking that I'll just encapsulate it myself and use the money for the birthing tub instead. Wise choice? I don't know. I'm so indecisive!
My husband would rather me spend the money to encapsulate, but I really, really, really, want to have a water birth. That's what I've had in my mind throughout my whole pregnancy, and to change my plans now makes me feel a little uneasy.
In other news, I am feeling pretty uncomfortable these days. Baby girl is super low and it hurts just to sit in a chair. Nighttime is the worst because that is when the contractions start, aka I haven't gotten much sleep the past few nights.
About 90% of our diapers are prepped and put away, yes! I've been doing it slowly because I know if I finish everything in one day I'll be so antsy and it'll make the time passing seem even slower.
Next thing on the agenda? Pack our hospital bags! Technically I could go into labor anytime, especially after 37 weeks (that's 2 weeks away!). But, I need to buy a few things before I pack the bags (*ahem* comfy pj's and the like for me =D). I am definitely going to splurge (somewhat) on myself for the postpartum period. Fresh, comfy pj's and slippers make everyone feel good as new :).
I will have my prepped diaper post up sometime this week...I will!
