Our cloth purchases so far

Even before I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to cloth diaper. I first came upon cloth diapers while reading dozens of mommy blogs (a main reason why I'm blogging today) and I must say, I didn't have such a harsh opinion about them like most people I come across do. I don't get grossed out by poop, I like love saving money, and I'm going to be a stay-at-home mom so I know that I'll have the time to really delve into it. And, not to mention, the prints and fluff are to die for.

Whenever I tell people that I am going to cloth diaper, I always get a puzzled look and one of these comments in return:

"Well, why?"
"That's going to be a lot of work."
"You're going to be sorry."
"Ha! Just wait 'til baby comes, you'll see."

And all of these remarks come from people who have never tried/researched cloth diapering themselves, and most of them still think cloth diapers are a simple dish rag held together by pins. Oh, no. Cloth diapers nowadays are modern, easy, and ADORABLE!

Here's what we have so far:

18 newborn and size small prefolds. 6 are Osocozy brand, and the other 12 I got a second-hand sale, and I have no idea what brand they are. But they're tiny...and cute! Also, one separate Hemp Babies diaper doubler.

4 covers - 2 newborn and 2 size small. Not sure if we'll get any bigger ones since I'll mainly be using the prefolds when babe is smaller.

Bumgenius AIO one size with 2 built-in diaper doublers.

BubuBebe AI2 fitted. I am in love with this diaper. The print is so cute and I got it for 1/3 of the price at a second hand sale which makes it that much more enjoyable :).

Bumgenius AIO newborn. These are so small that she probably won't fit into them for too long.

2 Lil Joeys AIO newborns. These are super small, too, and so cute. Eek!

Thirsties Duo Fab Fitted size one. Fits up to 18 lbs.

Kissaluvs newborn AIO in my fave color :)

Last but not least, the most economical diaper (that I got for FREE) - Fuzzibunz one size elite pocket diaper that comes with two diaper doublers. I have a feeling these will be my favorite in the long run.

I think we're set on newborn stuff. We might need some more small prefolds and covers, but I'm more concerned with getting one size diapers that will fit her from birth all the way to potty training. And I really want a couple wool coveralls for the winter.

I can't wait to use these!
